With these ten words the Lord God begins the introduction of himself to man. At first and casual glance they are words a child can understand. But the most learned mind by peering again and again would not in all his lifetime be able to reach the furthest depths of cosmic and spiritual truth contained in these ten words!
The expanse above the earth having three spheres:
Atmospheric: Daniel 4:12 and Matthew 6:26
Galactic: Psalm 19:1
Celestial: 2 Corinthians 12:2
We should not leave the matter of space without mentioning multidimensional geometry. Scientists, Theologians and Philosophers have written on this subject. Dr. Jozef Kajfosz (kie-foe-sh) a nuclear physicist of Krakow, Poland and a dedicated born again Christian gives a series of lectures on this subject entitled, At The Gates Of Space. It is indicated by mathematical law that many dimensions of space exist beyond the third dimension which we live in. Those further dimensions, of course, are where the celestial world exists and looks in upon man while man is unable to see into the dimensions beyond him. Dr. Kajfosz proves to the intellectuals once again that the Word of God is scientifically trustworthy, and that the best way any man can use his knowledge, is to channel it through faith in the Word of God!
All material forms. "Earth" is our planets natural
designation
according to Genesis. There is a difference between
the orderly cosmic
world which God is creating here and the social world system which
sinful
man is the creator of.
Modern language usage of the term
"world"
implies
the physical and social combined. Thus the term "worldliness"
referring
to the man made evils of the environmental man made world system. God
created
the Earth, but man made
the World. *See
Temptation; The Fall,Genesis 2;
World; Worldliness; World System; Cosmic.
Living, animate. articulate biological forms including the intelligent, volitional human form. Genesis 1:2. The garden was finished! Paradise was complete and self existing before God created the man. So, if the creation can exist without man, can man exist apart from the creation? The answer is, "no". Another sign of God's intentions. Jesus told the Pharisees, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:" God did not make man for everything, but everything for man. Therefore, the creation can exist without man but man cannot exist apart from the creation. More proof that creative forethought had man in mind from the beginning. The splendors of creation does not make sense unless God was preparing it as a place, or a setting for His companion creature. Intelligent life was the plan of an intelligent creator. We learn now the right use of that intelligence. We have yet to place the Royal Crown! There is yet the seventh and last absolute which we call the "imperial absolute!" Without this imperial absolute the creation stands as a king uncrowned. It is so supremely important, we call it, THE CROWN OF CREATION.
Moral excellence, benevolent forethought breathed into every detail of it's design and function! God the Creator with all seeing eyes scans over the panarama of His finished labors and And God saw every thing that He had made...and...it was very good. Genesis 1:31.
Anything God has created will bear the mark of His moral goodness! The whole of creation with all of it's beauty and symmetry and order is held, locked, into the loving sway of myriads of laws that guarantee it's perpetual and peaceful existence. *See Law; Law and Love.
To deny the goodness of Divine Law is to deny one's self of a fundamental knowledge of God Himself.
The chief characteristic of creation is goodness that is perpetuated by millions of laws in many realms of the creation such as biochemistry, articulation, nutrition, the eyes, the ears, the carbon hydrogen principle of life, etc, etc. This is also the first exposure to the Law of Love reflecting His loving intentions toward man. God's moral laws make up the greater part of His self revelation. Divine law is man's best source of a true knowledge about (1) God's Person (His acts and judgements), (2) God's plans (what future He promises to those who love and obey Him), and (3) God's holiy nature (His moral excellence).
When
anything created attempts to live outside of the
order of the creation, it will self destruct! This struggle of man to
think he can pit himself against the creator has been ongoing since
man's depravity and rebellion against God. It's called the want of man
against the order of things. That order is simply undeniable and God is
the author of that order. It becomes unstable. It
threatens
it's own existence and the existence of those things around it! tHIS IS
PRECISELY WHAT HAS HAS HAPPENED TO THE FALLEN EMPIRES OF HISTORY
BEGINNING WITH THE MEDO PERSINA EMPIRE, TO THE ROMAN EMPIRE. THE FINAL
EMPIRE OF THE ANTICHRIST WILL END THE SAME WAY AND FOR THE SAME
REASONS.
God's creation bears a signature which He has put on all He created, the seal of cosmic order. Everything God created must function under a system of morally correct order and if it does not, it will self destruct with time. There is no life with peace or a future where that cosmic order is spurned and man attempts to live apart from the cosmic law of order. The boibole is a verbal revelation of cosmic order for man to follow. If he does not he will self destruct with time. Dictator after dictator has raised himself above this cosmic law but to this day their dreams have failed and they themselves have turned to dust and no more than a blip on the screens of history. Men and nations cannot succeed if they flaunt the laws of cosmic order God has instilled in every atom of his creation! have all failed and is no law. There is no life without law under all of God's canopies! It simply does not exist because it cannot exist.
The color, the beauty and symmetry of earth and sky, The cosmic order of the universe emanate with the purity and holiness of God. Troubled souls still seek the quietness of open fields and golden sunsets for reflection and inner peace. There is a universal acknowledgement of goodness in the natural beauty of the earth. Man's nature feels an affinity with the creation in his breast. He is linked to nature through the creation. There is no salvation in the beauty of nature because there is no blood in it, but there is a God consciousness in it.
Man
must be careful he does not confuse this God consciousness
in nature with salvation provided in the cross of Jesus. One is the religion of the human spirit:
But salvation is
the
religion of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
Redemption includes blood that redeems AND the beauty of nature.
God out of love for His creature, sent His Son to shed redemptive blood that man be provided a legal means by which he could return into the presence of God to be restored to original fellowship with Him. When the sinful man confesses his rebellion against God's moral law (1 John 3:4), The Spirit of Christ comes and a new heart is given to man making his new nature compatible with God's government! (Hebrews 8:10; 10:16) That same government of love that was first revealed in Eden.
The whole redemptive purpose in the cross is to restore man to harmony with God Government as Adam before the fall. The only possibility of this is through a new nature, God Given, and blood purchased.
The cross itself cannot be understood apart from moral law! The law of God is exalted every time the cross is preached in truth! Psalm 138:2. 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8. For it was the law, you see, that demanded the shedding of blood for the remission of sins! Leviticus 17:11; Hebrews 9:22. The cross is only understood and preached in a correct perspective when man's nature is restored to affinity and harmony with Divine Government through the cross. *See Genesis 2,The second Paradise.
Regeneration is evidenced when the will of the individual surrenders to the will of God Government. John 14:21. This is the only true evidence of being born again.
God's moral requirements are designed for what God deems the good of man.
In the creation record, God's love, God's Righteousness and God's judgement are all different expressions of God's goodness. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. Psalm 33:5.
The Hebrew word TOV (good) is often used as the word referring to the moral excellence (holiness) of God's nature; Genesis 1:4,10,12,18,21,25,31,2:9. Exodus 33:19; 34:6. Deuteronomy 30:25. Joshua 24:20. 2 Samuel 7:28. 1 Chronicles 16:24; 17:26. 2 Chronicles 5:13; 7:3; 7:10. Ezra 3:11. Psalm 27:13; 33:5; 34:8; 54:6; 69:16; 86:5; 100:5; 106:1; 107:1,8,15,21,31; 118:1,29; 135:3; 136:1; 145:9. Isaiah 63:7; Jeremiah 29:10; 31:12,14; 33:11; Lamentations 3:12; Hosea 3:5; Nahum 1:7. Studies on this subject could be limited to the book of Psalms or to Psalm 107 only.
Matthew 19:17; Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19; John 10:11; Acts 14:17; Romans 2:4; 11:22.
Note: In
the dispensations
prior to Grace, God revealed Himself through the spoken Word. For this
reason there was more frequent reference to the goodness of God in the
O.T. account than is directly mentioned in the N.T.. In the
Dispensation
of Grace, God's loving nature was displayed openly through the
spectacle of the cross. On Galgotha God provided a legal atonement for
all of mankind to be restored to full fellowship with God. Calvary is the
ultimate example of Grace; It was God providing for man something man
could not provide for Himself.
