Times!How Times Have Changed! - The 1828 D1ctionary of The English Language by Noah Webster, defines worldliness as "a predominant passsion for obtaining the good things of this life; covetousness; addictedness to gain and temporal enjoyment."
The New Definition distorted by humanist values - The modern Webster's Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary merely says of worldliness; "The quality or state of being worldly." So then, because that tells you nothing, you must then find the definition for worldly which says; "devoted to this world and it's pursuits rather than to religion or spiritual affairs."
Demoralizing The Definitions - It is plain to see that the modern definition is void of any moral quality. The modern definition implies that worldliness is merely a matter of preference of lifestyle; that it is only a matter of choice between a secular lifestyle and religion with no moral connotation whatsoever! This demorlization of dictionary definitions is much to the liking of Christian liberals. Dictionaries are considered as authoritative and preachers use them as references in their preaching. It's easy to see how secular values reach into the church through the pulpits and support the carnal philosophies of liberal preachers.
The Satanic "Sindrome" - It is part of the Satanic "sindrome" that makes frontal attacks on the traditional truths delivered to the church by the apostles. When the church departs from the moral instruction of the Word, two processes are set in motion;
There Are Consequences To Ignoring The Instruction Of God's Word - When the church begins to question the supreme importance of moral instruction given in the Word of God it indicates a break between that church and God and that the Lord has departed. (Judges 16:20) Jesus said, He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. John 8:47
Demoralizing Doctrine - The fundamental modernists are doing the same thing to the moral doctrines of the Bible. How long has it been since you heard a good message on worldliness, or separation, or the fear of God, or sanctification, or perfection, or obedience (imparted righteosuness), or the moral law? A fumdamentalism without these redemptive truths in their prominent place is a pseudo gospel. There is no salvation in the fact that you are a fundamentalist. Salvation is through sanctification and the believing of the truth which is according to godliness. (2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Timothy 6:3,11; Titus 1:1; 2:12; 2 Peter 1:3)
Modern Pentecost Morally Illiterate! - When the church becomes degenerate by nature it effects it's moral judgement causing it to revert to a moral system determined by consensus rather than conviction. This apostate mentality is more effected by what the mob dictates than by what God's Word mandates. The highly visible TV and radio personalities are the most conformed to the ideals and values of the KOSMOS. One by one these high profile people have capitulated , leaving off the message of godliness to gain more people. Now the emphasis is on miracles and highly promoted mass crusades. But any evangelism that is without the message of moral transformation and fails to make this a condition of valid grace is preaching a gospel of death. To speak of holiness of life or purity of heart or separation from the world makes you an outcast from the mainline movements. We are fulfilling another prophetic word of Christ in making "success" the cheap substitute for victory. Jesus said, Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. Matthew 23:15
The unsuspected and beloved friend of the apostate church is the sworn and declared enemy of Christ! Any attempt to see spiritual renewal in the church will be in vain until these matters are returned to the place of supreme importance, until holiness of life and purity of heart become dominant themes of the pulpit! For that to happen, false teaching on these matters must be reproved, denounced and repented of. To have the same relationship to the world system that Jesus had is the key to the purity and power of the church.

THE KOSMOS (the world) represents a human system of government that rebels against God's authority and despises the word of God.
THE KINGDOM (the church) represents God's people who have pulled away from the rebelling mobs of the KOSMOS! The church represents those called out from the KOSMOS having denounced the KOSMOS, returning to the sovereignity of God government through Christ! As the church conforms to the KOSMOS it is conforming to rebellion. The KOSMOS is alienated from God, is sinful and rebellious against divine authority. To become worldly is to become rebellious. You can't retain a holy life and be obedient to God and be worldly. To be worldly is synonimous with being sinful. To be holy is synonymous with being obedient.
KOSMOS Would Govern Christians By Intimidation And Influence - KOSMOS speaks of a system of government apart from God. It is a temporary system that will soon pass away. He is not wise who attaches himself to this passing fleshy KOSMOS. Christians are the salt of the Earth (an influence toward moral excellence), not partakers of it or the governors of it!

The Alienated KOSMOS - Modern gospel preachers avoid the whole matter of the moral viciousness of the KOSMOS as the Lord and the disciples taught it. But it is a Biblical fact! KOSMOS is a diobolical environment hostile to the redemptive plan of God! In this Letter we point out this fact. Scripture reveals this in sharp clear tones that cannot be questioned or interpreted to mean otherwise!
A Cardinal Doctrine - One of the most prominant doctrines of the Bible is the doctrine of separation from the KOSMOS. The clearest message and the most mentioned theme of the New Testament is this matter of the KOSMOS being the alienating force that works against grace...and yet it is being blatantly ignored by the "dumb dogs" that "cannot bark," who have become so infatuated with, and lulled by the luxeries and creature comforts of the KOSMOS they do not want to see it as a threat. To the contrary, they think of any Chrtistian message against the KOSMOS as a threat!
The Message Of The KOSMOS - God has given the church a vivid and unclouded message in the word KOSMOS! It was the KOSMOS that killed the Christ! We must stop blaming the Jews for the death of Christ and realize that it was the sins of the KOSMOS that drew Him into this KOSMOS by His own will, and that He gave Himself to the death of the cross that He might redeem us from the KOSMOS! All apostate religions are of the KOSMOS. The same apsostate forces of religion who worship God and fight the godly in every age are all of the same ilk, then as now. The same spirit of religious apostasy that killed Christ is the same religious crowd that slanders the godly today and wish for the death and silence of the holiness remnant. It wasn't Christ they hated as much as it was the truth He spoke that threatened their comfortable power structure. This is the danger of power structures; when they become morally corrupted they are more politically committed to the "thing" than they are to the truth of God's Word. There is no weeping for sin; only a sickening defense of the increasing worldliness.
Loveless Orthodoxy - We have a religious orthodoxy with us today that loves Christ, boasts of it's fundamentalism and hates those who are faithful to the what the Word teaches about the KOSMOS. You've never felt hate or been mistreated until you bump into a Charismatic love cult Christian who discovers you do not tolerate the spirit of KOSMOS in your own life. You will be treated as the "offscour" at the "offset"! You will soon find their "love" is stronger for the KOSMOS than for the concecrated.
Enemies Of God And Don't Know It - Christians who conform to the KOSMOS and embrace it's values have become the friends of KOSMOS...and the enemy of God and do not even realize it! Jesus said of the Laodicean church, Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Revelation 3:17)

When a lifestyle conforms to the influences of KOSMOS it is called "worldliness." KOSMOS (worldliness) is the counter culture to christianity. Worldliness cancels grace! (Titus 2:12) KOSMOS and LOGOS cannot coexist in the Christian heart, therefore God hates it as an enemy of grace! (Galations 1:14; 4:3; 6:14)

at War!
The Church Of The KOSMOS Will Not Be Governed By The LOGOS - It claims to be but refuses to repent of it's sins of self righteosuness and worldliness. (See Hagios Letter No. 1488, Identifying The Apostate Church) Apostates claim all of the promises of the overcomer but without being an overcomer of the KOSMOS. One of the ways it is easily identifiable is that it opposes historical holiness teaching. This is the chief characteristic of all apostate bodies!
Pentecostal Constantinism - There still lives the spirit of Constantine. By waving his hand over the troops and commanding them to "become Christians" and be baptised in water by the bishops of the church he became the church age inventor of "easy believism." Constantine claimed to be a Christian but kept right on practicing many of his pagan beliefs and habits. Repentance and sorrow were not a part of Constantine's gospel.
There is very little difference between ancient Constantinism and modern Charismaticism in this respect.
GOD REMAINS SOVEREIGN!
God remains sovereign over the KOSMOS and may intervene at will.
But, where and when He chooses not to intervene then KOSMOS is under the
authority of depraved men who are being governed by Satanic influences and human
conspiracies. James 1:13-15.
KOSMOS REPRESENTS ANARCHY, AGAINST HOLY AUTHORITY
Sin is not a state of affairs where there is no law or government. It is system
of government and human values that operates apart from the authority, the moral
commandment of God's divine government. It is the rebellion of the carnal nature
against the moral laws of God. The morals of the KOSMOS are libertine,
licentious and lasciveous. The moral laws of God define proper restraints that
must be observed by the soul to to experience happiness. So the moral laws of
God achieve a twofold purpose; the ultimate happiness of man and a life that is
morally pleasing to God the Father. What Pleases God is obedience to the moral
laws that guarantee our peace and happiness.
Two World's Pull At Two Natures In Man - the KOSMOS appeals to the ambitions of the flesh nature to serve it's ambitions and selfish tendancies toward immediate pleasure, while the spiritual world appeals to the cry of the spiritual man to have intimacy with God the Father.
Apostate fundamentalism attempts to join these two natures and lifestyles into one. Jesus blasts this philosophy clean out of the Galaxy! He divorces God from mammon and the apostles warn us against becoming "entangled" in the KOSMOS! (Matthew 6:24; 2 Timothy 2:4) A righteous man falling down before the wicked {is as} a troubled [trampled] fountain, and a corrupt spring. Proverbs 25:26
The Sign Of The New Birth - When a person is truly born again of God's Spirit, he or she loses all resentment to the restraints the Word places on the flesh. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3 The spirituallly born see the moral commandments as God lovingly sharing His moral wisdom with man. The new convert that refuses to yield to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit is holding onto materialistic values of the KOSMOS. He has been deceived by false profit$ into thinking that a Christian can have the better of both worlds and still be a disciple of Christ.
38. Forbidden Love
The Church of the Falling Away - The falling away movement is trying hard to prove how very worldly and spiritual you can be at the same time. They are literally "knocking themselves out" indulging in worldliness to demonstrate how corrupted you can become ans still speak in tongues and be a born again Christian. It is in this way they hope to prove that the old time holiness religion is wrong. They have succeeded in convincing many that you can be "saved" and conform to the KOSMOS and still have all the promises of God and the gifts of the Spirit operating; that we can mix the values of the KOSMOS with the values of God's Word and still have the joy of salvation. But the qualities of genuine salvation are established in the absolutes of the Word of God and not in the emotional testimony and claims of apostates professing fundamentalism. All kinds of good and positive results are being flaunted to impress people with the genuineness of their false gospel. But mass evangelism, miracles of healing, dramatic conversions and the multimillion dollar gospel music industry are causing millions of Christians to be distracted from a pure the Biblical message of the apostles. These have become humanly devised counterfeits to distract millions from the true gospel that is according to godliness. (1 Timothy 6:3)
The proof is truth! Truth rooted in the Word which is "according to godliness" identifies the apostolic creed. It is not human experience but "what is written" we stake our salvation on!
Luxery and posh living standards have perverted our thinking and made us soft. Softness makes the disciplines of discipleship unbeareable and intolerable. There is no such thing as a good soft soldier ... or disciple.
GOD HAS A PEOPLE WITHIN THE KOSMOS, THE CHURCH!
God is present in the KOSMOS and will be found by those who seek Him. God's
Spirit is in the KOSMOS to call whosoever will from the KOSMOS. The angels of
the Lord came into Sodom for Lot and His family to bring them out of Sodom
before the judgment of God fell.
Called Out From The KOSMOS! - Those who find God through the gospel and it's provision to redeem them and save them "out of the KOSMOS" (John 15:19; 17:6) will gather themselves together in assemblies called the church. The very term, "church," ekklesia, means "a calling out"! Called out from the KOSMOS, loosed from it's evil fleshy styles and influences! Those of the church are the only people on earth who are supposed to understand the true wicked nature of the KOSMOS! The church is supposed to be the one place in earth where people can escape the KOSMOS and find the presence of God in an atmosphere of purity.
Theology Without Humility - Modern fundamentalism is probably the best equipped and the most well trained gospel army the history of the church has ever seen! We have accumulated vast archives of writings that began with the collected writings of the apostles up to the writngs of present time. We are blessed with the collected volumes of truth from the hearts and minds of church sages of over two thousand years of meditation and research printed in scores of languages. And yet with all of this access to Biblical knowledge there is more heresy and doctrinal illiteracy in the fundamental church today than at any time in the church's history! What's more, we allow this to go right on happening in spite of the apostles foretelling us of it! Pure doctrine is not threatened by the lack of knowledge, it is threatened by the distortions of popular and wealthy false profit$ who prostitute certain truths of the Bible for their own gain.
Twisting Kingdom Values To Fit The KOSMOS Mentality - These men refuse the illuminations of the Holy Spirit because they have placed their personal philosophy on a level with the Word of God. The rich and famous modern preacher will not arrive at truth if they are not broken and honest to God in the inner core of their experience! We are cursed with unanointed intelligence. You can have your doctrine down pat, but if your value system is worldly and not that of Scripture...it would have been better if you had been born a toad without a soul!
39. The Kosmos Has No Respect for
Christ or His Brethren
The Apostate Church Has Not Seen The Teeth Of The KOSMOS...Yet -While the church appreciates all of the kindnesses shown to it by secular friends outside of it's fellowship, there are three facts that explain the truth of John's statement, Therefore the KOSMOS knoweth us not;
First, the church today, at least in the western hemisphere dwells within Christian societies. There are many Christians in a position to help the church today which was rare in John's day when the KOSMOS was controlled by the pagan Roman government. However, the church also exists in cultures today that are hostile to it! In some cases the persecution of the church comes from other Christian sects such as the Catholic church where in some countries it is the dominant or state religion.
Secondly, when the church preaches against sin and calls for purity as the terms of God for salvation you will quickly discover how cruel this KOSMOS really is. So long as we cajole and stroke the sinner right and refrain from preaching against sin we can keep their favor. But if the church should ever take up it's rightful cry against sin it would mark the ending of the "super church" era and halt all generosity shown by the KOSMOS toward the church.
Thirdly, if we do as John Baptist and Jesus did and start preaching against Herod's adulterous marriage and the hypocrisy of man made doctrines you will soon discover that the KOSMOS has teeth and is not afraid to show them! You will also find how true John's words are. The early church had a much more uncompromising and holy concept of the KOSMOS than we do today, and therefore had a diffferent "working relationship" with the KOSMOS!

Wealth And Worldliness Dangerously Alike - Many a godly character has been corrupted by the "deceitfulness of riches." (Matthew 13:22; Mark 4:19) Money has sucked thousands of souls into the sewers of the KOSMOS. Money gives men favor with the rich and famous. If the rich should suddenly become penniless they would also suddenly become friendless. Friendship with the KOSMOS crowd leads to the corruption of the holy life. The worst thing about the trap worldliness is that those who are corrupted by it carry their children and the succeeding generations after them into its damnations as well. And then sometimes it the kids who take the parents with them into the new life of "freedom" in the flesh. As the Biblical proverb goes; when we allow our state in this life to effect our standing in Christ we end up "gaining the whole KOSMOS," and losing our own souls. (Matthew 16:26)
The Rich And Bewitched - The hard thing to resist about this Satanic plot to neutralize us to the damnations of worldliness is that it offers so much comfort and security that seldom do those deceived ever recover from it. Riches are a horrible and painless fate for those bewitched and finally captivated by them. Riches are not always fatal but the mortality rate is so high that rare is the man or woman who has been able to sanctify their riches while cultivating and retaining a proper hatred for sin and worldliness.

When we attach our affections to anything in this KOSMOS we have sinned against the love of God ... we have learned to love sinful things forbidden of God, which is idolatry! (Colossians 3:5) Denial of these truths only proves the state of self deception that grips the church.
Ignorance That Is Intentional - The fact that we defend worldliness as something harmless and refuse to see it as a hideous enemy of the faith as God's Word declares, is rebellion against the Holy Spirit.

Our fate as holiness people depends on one central theme and doctrine of the Bible; that holiness (moral perfection) be carefully kept before us as our earthly goal in Christ. It is this thing that determines my destiny. For we know the worldly are spiritual rejects from God's kingdom.
When you pray, you must pray for the right things, high things, impossible things, magnificent things. I must ask God to give me the power to transcend my present state, to go on without guile when a brother violates me.
This moral transformation takes place only as I commune with God in secret prayer and through meditation in the Word of God (God speaking to me). When man practices that exchange in secret prayer the effect will be the divine love for what is holy and the holy hatred of all sin.
A saint praying for his heart to be severed from all affections for the illustrious KOSMOS is the highest cry of all to the throne of jasper!
Separation from the KOSMOS indicates how close I really am to Christ.
